I understand where you are coming from.  I'm in a similiar situation.  We pulled our little Gianna from the vet hospital after she was hit by a car and left on the side of the road to die.  She was in bad shape, they did not think she'd make it and said if she did she'd have neorological issues that would inhibit her.  We've had her with us just over a week and have been caring for her.  She's come a long way from when we first saw her in the vet's office.  I promised hubby if he donated to her vet bill, and let me take her home that I'd find her a good home when she was ready.  It's getting very hard for me to consider parting with her.  She's sitting on my lap now as I type.  Honestly don't know what I'm going to do.  I'm a terrible foster mom.
