That, or restrict him to one room when your eyes aren't on him, like one would do with a puppy.
It is not uncommon for Yorkies to forget their housetraining rules when their Moms and Dads leave them, whether it be for work or vacations. Doing it on the furniture is a bit over-the-top I'll admit!
And the Vet check is an excellent idea, anytime unusual behavior is evident. Always rule out a medical problem that could possibly be causing him to 'act out' first, before assuming the pup is incorrigible.
It's tons easier to give a pill and have the problems go away, than it is to start and enforce a new training routine...
