Management brings in someone from outside the department to run the place. The person is not happy and takes advantage of their position. I can't tell you how often I have seen this. Many companies will let you work yourself to the bone but this is not all they look at when promotion time comes. I have also seen poor management skills abounding in recent years. You say you quit school to take this job. The reality is that they do look for that degree when it comes to management and supervisor jobs. As stated, don't gossip or complain to co workers. You may think they are loyal but when push comes to shove they are out for themselves. That pay check is important and everyone wants a raise. If you approach your supervisor as you suggested my guess would be she would take it right back to management. Not good.
All in all money is important but you need to have a life also. The things that happen outside the work place are the lasting and important things in your life. You have to have peace at home or you cannot be your best in the work place. Maybe if you cut back your hours for a while they would actually miss having you there. If not it might be time for a new job. I hope you are able to step back and look at your situation objectively and form a plan of action.
You have several animals in your care and they need more time spent with them. It seems you are under a lot of pressure with the way things are right now. Hope a solution comes to you soon. |
