Our first dog (American Staffordshire Terrier) almost choked to death on a rawhide and I had to literally stick my hand down her throat to get it. So while I like the chewing aspect for keeping teeth cleaner, I'm too much of a worry wort to have it be unsupervised. |
Raw hide swells when it gets wet so I would be careful because it can cause blockages.
