When Gracie was a puppy she was very aggressive with the cats. I had to teach it she could not behave that way. She was corrected every time she would chase, bite or growl at a cat or kitten. I had to constantly watch her. Teaching her to sit, stay, and come has been a great help. Since your dog is older now it may be a bit harder to stop this activity. I hope someone with more knowledge about training can help you.
Gracie still feels she is the boss of all cats but gets along quite well with them to the point that she takes naps with them now. Just don't let them come near her favorite toy because then she will bark and tell them "no way!" |
