With that being said, I think there is a good solid line between passion and "attacking".
No one has said anything on this thread that has been in an aggressive manner. Than again, it's hard to me to determine if black and white text could possibly be aggressive, sarcastic, etc.
And with regards to the OP not returning, don't assume we scared her off (once again I wish I could quote your interpretation statement) but she has a new puppy. I'd sure as heck be playing with the pup as opposed to typing on this addictive site.
