Titres can be more expensive, but in the long run they might save your furbutt's life, and that is priceless. Remember, any indication of immunity is "enough"...some vets try to convince you that if you don't have certain "levels" than your dog is not protected, when in fact, all it means is that your dog has not been exposed recently to re-build immunity. Sometimes; I think we just don't think when it comes to our pets...I don't know about anyone else, but I know the only vaccine I've had since childhood has been my "tetnus" shot. Why would our dogs would need more shots after puppyhood? I'm also resistant to the idea of continual re-vaccination of rabies, although because it is the law I follow it...but I also support the "Rabies Challenge Fund" which is in the process of raising the money needed to complete a 7 year study that would help indicate the effectiveness/longevity of vaccines.
