There will always be bad breeders, some sell to pet stores, some sell over the internet and even on Yorkietalk. If you do a search on YT you will find plenty of information on how to find a reputable breeder. The more we can convince people to seek out truly reputable breeders, the more we can do about shutting down puppy mills and backyard breeders. You can buy a perfectly healthy beautiful dog from a pet store, however, many of us are concerned about the conditions of the breeding dogs, the ones left behind. Afterall the OP did say:

I certainly don't want to spoil the joy, but we can't turn a blind eye to puppy mills, and my guess is 90 percent or more of us made mistakes in the past, about buying from bad breeders or pet stores, that's why many of us think it's important to educate, not to blame, but to educate on what to do next time. Very few stop at one yorkie!
