You're coming on a tad bit too strong. But I completely understand your frustration. We've both been here long enough to see a 5-8 week old puppy go home and the new owners struggle.
OP, it's really easy for us to say, "walk away" or convince the breeder. We're not the ones i the middle. But I hope you understand it truly is in the Roxy's best interest to have those extra 4 weeks with her mom and litter mates. I fear if your breeder doesn't agree, he'll turn around and sell her to someone else. The breeder doesn't sound knowledgeable at all, and he might be overwhelmed with he cost and care of all the dogs he breeds. If he doesn't budge and Roxy comes home at 8 weeks, be prepared for the extra work you'll have to do to fill in the gap her real mom would have filled when it comes to doggy manners, and Roxy's social and emotional development. Some are very successful and have no issues, others are not so lucky.
