It will get there pretty quick. I cut a lot off of my boys' topknots on a regular basis. The initial growing part seems to take forever, and then boom!
Vellus satin cream is great for thickening up and keeping topknots healthy. I haven't used ours in awhile and need to order a fresh jar. The exhibitors love it for conditioning topknots after a show. I order directly from Vellus. Love their anti-stat grooming spray too.
