I don't know about your resort, other than my brother stayed there last year and it is absolutely beautiful, but I do know about the plane. First of all you have to make a pet reservation in cabin with the airline you will be flying with. They only allow a certain number of pets in cabin. Yes there is a pet fee for flying. The cost depends on the airline you are travelling with. We are leaving Friday to fly to Key West for the winter and we are travelling with American Airlines. We paid 150$ each way for her to travel with us. When she is flying with us she has to be in an airline approved carry on usually a soft sided one. They must remain under the seat in front of you at all times never on your lap. That being said, last year Bella decided to be a real little b...tch on our flight to Miami and I had to take her out of her bag. I put her on my knee and covered her with my blanket. All went well after that but I didn't get caught. If I had, she would have to go back into the bag. You also have to have all her health records up to date, not that I have ever been asked on the plane, just customs. Your pet bag also counts as one piece of your carry on allowance.
