Default Question about taking my yorkie to the Dominican

My DH is always saying that although he likes dogs he isnt really attached to them (we have two dogs, a 14yr old schnoodle and 2yr old Yorkie) He teases me because of how much I love my dogs and Chloe is particular.

We are going to the Dominican in February and I have been trying to make arrangements for the dogs while we are away. George will be staying with my brother but Chloe being such a princess needs so much more care (and would drive my brother crazy lol) and I have been struggling with the thought of leaving her behind. So two days ago my DH said out of the blue "I was thinking that maybe we can take Chloe with us" I was shocked! It never occoured to me that taking her was an option. I was sure that he would have thought that it would have been a MAJOR buzz kill to have her with us. So it appears that he isnt as aloof as he pretends to be. Chloe always follows me around the house and all during the day she is my little shadow but as soon as we go to bed she has to be curled up right beside him. She "tortures" him by licking his face and jumping up on him while he tries to sleep and he never gets upset. He plays with her and I had thought that she had worked her way into his heart but now I know she has

So long story short lol... Has anyone brought a furbaby with them to an all inclusive?? I am wondering about the flight too as there are no seats left so am I allowed to keep her on my lap? I took my child on a plane at age 13 months and she was free as she shared my seat as per the airlines policy. Did you have to pay for bringing your dog on the plane? There is NO WAY that I would take Chloe unless she travelled with me during the flight. Also is there anything that I need to consider if I bring her with us?

Thanks for any help you can offer as I try to figure this out. If I can find a way to bring her with me it would make this a perfect trip. I was really going to miss my little furbaby and knowing that my DH wants to bring her is wonderful.
