I wasn't aware that there were 2 different kinds...one with minerals & one without. The Walmart where I bought it only carried the one. I was confused as to what I had read in that post because I thought it said "no Minerals", but this is working for Miki. I don't know why, but it is.  I wondered if had something to do with the fluoride, but I don't think there is fluoride in bottled water, and that's all Miki got before. Our tap water at home has fluoride added, but I never gave her tap water... the mystery goes on. |
Fluoride isn't considered a mineral, but dogs don't need it because they rarely get cavities. So buying the one without fluoride is fine. The bottled water I’m seeing now says that they’ve added mineral for taste. They use to sell a pink bottle too, but I did a search and couldn't find it. I wonder if the level of minerals added is just much lower than you find in some tap water? Our tap water is loaded with minerals and causes lots of problems for our appliances. By the way, Gerber’s water sold in the small bottles doesn’t sound any different than regular bottled water; it’s not purified just filtered. Purification is taking all minerals out.
