I'm glad you see what I'm saying, that's all I wanted, just to show there may be a somewhat reasonable explanation for not having money in december but then having it in January.

I definitely agree with you that her timing is wrong. Since she has a budget she must be aware of her cash flow and therefore should have realized that breeding in December is not the ideal time for her because of the lack of cash.

If my child (my yorkie in this instance since I don't have kids) was sick or had an emergency during a time where I was short on cash I would still take her to the doctor, and hopefully the OP would too if it were needed regardless of the budget. An emergency and a pregnancy check visit are two different things. The pregnancy check can wait a few days until the next paycheck arrives, an emergency cannot, that's why I carry plastic
