To the OP if you're still reading, I just wanted to say that I hope January brings you back to financial security after the Christmas shopping, and that you are able to take your furkid to the vet for prenatal care if necessary, if she is indeed carrying pup(s).

A few things I would suggest:

Learn a hobby.=)

Cross-stitching is fun, very inexpensive if you purchase just the basics. And..stitched gifts are an awesome present.

Crochet - harder than stitching (in my opinion), but scarves are very easy to crochet, and inexpensive to make, and a VERY welcomed gift especially at Christmastime in most places, because it's cold.

Buy some regular fleece at the fabric store. Even if you don't know how to sew, there are all SORTS of things you can make just by cutting the fleece at intervals and tying knots in it (I can help you with that).

Doing all this will not only fill your list of gifts to get other people, but it will also save your pocketbook for the vetcare that your furkid so desperately needs (pregnant or not).

I hope 2012 brings health to your furkid, and to you.
