I just made my wife read our males papers to me cause i work out of state for long periods and he is AKC not CKC. The puppy for my daughter will not be bred to our male she will just be a pet for my daughter. We will not back out of the deal due to my wife's mistake it wold not be fair to the breeder in my opinion!!! So with that said we are on the hunt for an AKC female |
Ah, good to know you have an idea what you're doing! Was it as demanding and needy a breed like the yorkie? Unless your vet is a toy breed specialist you will need a heck of a lot more specific information than your vet can provide; If you think about how different the needs if each breed are, then the number of breeds of not just dogs, but cats, rabbits, horses... So you would ideally need a personal mentor to help you with this.
On the look out for two aka females then? Do you know what to look for in a breeder- specifically wanting a breed-worthy pup? Those can be hard to find! There are many resources here to help you with all of this, but remember that you will have a fair while to obtain the knowledge (at least two years!) so you will hopefully be fully prepared when the time comes. You know there us a high chance that your boy may not compliment your girls at all?
