If you are talking aobut Continental Kennel club, it is not a bona fide purebred registry. They do not have the hoops you have to go through as you do with AKC currently to verify that the puppy is indeed purebred from many many generations of purebred stock. But you do have to be sure the AKC breeder you are dealing with is reputable.
Also I don't know of any reputable show breeders that would not register with AKC and would register at any time with Continental Kennel Club. Just the way it is.
the only many breeders I know registering with Continental Kennel Club are puppy sellers, not those that are showing/breeding to the betterment of the breed or at least have that as their goal. There is a big difference.
