I did know to an extent as to who to avoid such as a USDA breeder or a mixed bread breeder but it' was always those breeders who appeared to be good but then.......All we are told to do is "research your breeder" "buy your breeder first, then the pup". Seems so simple doesn't it??? It doesn't help when people are afraid to speak up when they find out after the fact that the breeder they thought was reputable turned out not to be so. Or they just don't know how or where to let people know to avoid such a breeder because there is no reporting department or organization. So the pet owner suffers the heartache of dealing with the ill pup and the breeder continues.
I also found a couple of breeders on the YTCA list, it was no help either. The ones I found I would never recommend to anyone. There were even several breeders on this very site (some long term members)who where praised for their pups and/ or breading practices, turned out they also weren't what they appeared to be......Sad as it looks it's the luck of the draw and it shouldn't be that way. All we're asking for is for a healthy pup, is that to much to ask for???? | |
