Good luck on your new puppy. Like the others have stated... She really needs to be 12 weeks old before bringing her home. Tiny ones are hard to care for... My boys are 5 and 6 pounds... A great size... They are both still very small. We have a little girl that I am hoping will grow more. She is 6 1/2 months old and weighs 2.9 pounds as of yesterday. We watch her very carefully as she is so small and fragile. I read you have children... How old are they? If they are young, you definately need a bigger yorkie... Again, like the others have said also, the parents an help determine the color... But yorkies are a surprise...you never really know what they will look like at adulthood! As far as the hair.... I've never seen a wired hair yorkie.... Bevo has a good coat, doesn't tangle hardly ever... Mack has a super cotton like coat... Very soft... But tangles easily... This too is genetics... Make sure you are buying from a good breeder... Beware of backyard breeders and puppy mills!! Good luck!!
