Welcome! A couple comments...have you tried closing the door to your son's room? Seems like an obvious solution, but then again...??!
Second...here's something I learned recently. When introducing a new toy (I'm assuming Andy's toys are new), it helps to rub your scent on it. I put Dori's xmas "hide-a-squirrel" in my dirty clothes hamper before introducing it to her. Only problem was I totally forget about it, looked all over the house for her present and only found it days later when I pulled a pile of clothes out of the hamper to wash. I need to make more post-its!
