Toby only needs to lose one pound. Speedy doesn't really NEED to lose but I'd like to see her lose about two pounds. She is solid muscle. What is a good caloric count for yorkies? The food they are on now has about 357 calories and the fat content is about 10% if I remember right.
I just took Toby to the vet for a "weigh in" and he's at nine pounds. I like to keep him at about 8 lbs as that is a safe weight for his LP not acting up. I give them frozen green beans as treats and the vet said they can have as many green beans as they want. I only give them about 5-6 per day. |
