I am happy to say that I found my old groomer that I used 10 years ago when I got my previous yorkie. She groomed Poppy from puppy to age 6 when she sold her business. I contacted her (she even remembered me, well, Poppy) and let her know I got new babies and asked if she was still doing any dog grooming. Turns out she is - she just does not have an "office" so to speak - she brings her stuff and grooms at your home. She does not have a mobile unit so will use the bathtub in the guest room (where I bath them) and groom them in the garage on her portable grooming table.
She said she would love to work with my babies and would come to my house on Saturday! Yes, on Christmas Eve to groom them - she said they should look pretty for Christmas. She is charging me $30 per pup (a great rate). I let her know they were puppies and may take longer so would understand if she charged more, she said that was all part of the process - but she may ask me to help her out if they are really wiggly as she will be by herself.
I am moving on and think this is going to be so much better in the long run. I know this groomer has worked with puppies before and is not afraid of them. I will not return to the other groomer. I am not sure I would ever have confidence that she would show up. |
