That reminds me of when I was a kid and we got our first puppy (we already had an adult dog that was a rescue) my dad picked him up and the puppy was like what the heck is that thing on this guys face (big hairy beard) well he thought he would try to dig in it and cut my dad's lip. I think it will be ok but I would just keep and eye on it. I too learned very quickly that paying extra for the filed nails is so worth it but never had my lip scratched open. Hope it heals fast.
