Haha! I see he is successfully training you to play chase! You need to teach him the basics, sit, stay, come, drop it/give and one more, Leave it. You can do 'Leave it' first.
Have treats in your left hand, have him sit in front of you, then put a treat on the floor with your right hand, near him. Say 'Leave it'. Block him at first if you have to to stop him from getting the treat on the floor. Treat him with the treats in your hand, never give him the one off the floor.
He'll be much happier if you give him something he can have though, in place of what he did have, and more willing bc he'll know he's getting something in return. |
