Congrats on your new boy..he is very handsome! I have a 13 wk old female. I understand the whole potty thing...we are trying to train her to use the potty outside...for the most part she "gets it", but we still take her out often..15 mins after meals and once every one/two hours. We have three other dogs, so someone has to go at at some point, so when they go, she goes. She still will poop or pee in the house though, but she is getting better at going to the sliding glass door and stand there..her signal...i have to go! Dilegence is key....your guy is still small...its gonna take time....it can be frustrating, but I remind myself that she is still very young like your lil guy.

The crate thing....i can work up to 7 hours...hubby works out of town and leaves at 5:45 am and doesnt get home til 7:00 pm.....i would suggest getting a play yard...bed..toys..etc. Sunnyhas never had an accident in hers, but the first thing I do when I get home is scoop her up and take her out....before I go to work, I take her out..i actually wake up two hours before I have to go to work and let her run around the house and when I get home she gets rhe run of the house, with very small intervals of her play yard...ie..time outs for getting to rammy...cat nap...they still sleep alot..or I am making dinner and she is under foot....let her run as much as possible before and after you get home.

The chewing thing...puppies chew...ALOT....on EVERYTHING....bully sticks....pig ears....squeaker toys...plastic water bottles...with lid and label taken off...empty of course!

As for the whinning....is there a way to leave a tv on or a radio on...some kind of noise...on low, of course...

Sleeping in bed.....hmmmm...no...for me.....our sleep is waaaay too important. Lol
