You really only want to use the Nutrical if you think there is a problem. I know some people give a little to their puppy each day if their puppy seems like they may need it, and that is fine. You wouldn't want to overuse it as it could lead to diabetes, but just a little here and there is okay I think.
And, it's just a small amount...your vet can advise you, or the packaging will.
