I do prefer grain-free for the most part too. I've had better luck with Jackson while on it. Right now, he's on grain inclusive, but I always notice a bit more itching while on it. Not excessive, but a bit.
I would stick with less than. Feed her 1/2 cup a day. If she is acting hungry or you think she needs more, give her a bit more. I would just keep an eye on her body condition, etc.
