I would just let the new vet assess whether an xray is needed. If they decide they want to see the whole body, then usually two views are taken. However, the lighting needed for the abdomen and chest are different, so then you may need more. That's why they palpate all over first to try and isolate the pain. One xray view here is about $80 and then the second is probably $40 or $50.

All vets have their ways of doing things. I have never heard any vet say they need to be emptied daily in cases of infection.
The daily expressing is not normally needed , I was just giving my case as this is what works best for my little guy. His anals are completely full again 24 hrs after they are expressed, every time he has an infection.
