I don't think it's so funny either. If I ever got a letter like that (even about my cat), I'd take it seriously and do whatever I needed to do to rectify the situation.

I have never wanted my children or my pets to cause problems for anyone else. They may be small, and I know they're probably harmless, but they still have no right to infringe on the rights of other people.

My uncle was a mailman. He always said that it was the little dogs that were the worst as far as causing him concern and interrupting his getting his work done.

I love my animals. I have had small dogs and larger dogs and cats and have never wanted any of them to be disrespectful of other people's rights or property. I would immediately do whatever I need to do to keep my dog from bothering the mailman or any other visitor to my house.

Where is your dog that he can be such a bother to a visitor? Is he outside alone? If your yard is fenced - at least the mailman is coming in and out. Couldn't your dog get loose or be taken?
