I was wondering if you could give me some help on the bath part. I try to put cotton in the ears to keep water out and they always shake them out. I can't tell if I am getting water in the ears or not. Also I need some tips on cleaning the face without getting soap in the eyes. I use a tearless shampoo for the face but I am probably not getting the face clean enough for fear of getting too close to the eyes.

Thanks!
Ok I can help you with that. 1st of all don't put it the ears until it's the absolute last part of the bath..which is the head. So you would wash, rinse and repeat the body and legs 1st so that during this time her/his head is dry/free and comfortable. Then after you rinse him on the 2nd wash or after you put on the conditioner...then you put in the cotton balls just before you wash his head/face. That way it's not on the entire time and he/she will not shake the head while you're washing it. Also I find it that you just use half the cotton ball so that you don't feel the need to jam it shut tight. My benny is about 7lbs and he only needs about 1/4 of a cotton ball. If it's too much it will pop out easily and also bother them and that's why they shake it.

I agree marcella that a little bit of water doesn't hurt but since now that I have it down to a science and benny only shakes it out "after" Im finished with washing his head that it's not a big deal and I rather have his ears nice and dry. Give that a try..
