I agree with everyone here that it is unwise to mess around with diarrhea for more than a day, especially in such a tiny body. When Smokey had his first bout, which of course was on Thanksgiving Day, I kind of freaked out and rushed him to the vet on Friday. The stool sample was fine, no temp, no sign of anything via palpation. The vet gave us Endosorb, which is a probiotic and is something nobody had ever recommended before for my other dogs. It did the trick almost immediately. A huge tablet which I had to cut in half and apparently delicious, since Smokey gobbled it all down without a struggle once a day for 6 days.
