if her nails are black. I suggest slightly grinding them with a peti-paws or dremel. That way you won't quick her, but I think about anytime those nails are sharp and long it's time for a clip.
Teddy has both clear and black nails but I just use my peti-paws to grind down the points and the clear nails give me a good gauge as to where the quick is.
