oh my Yorkie fever is bad!!! I'm a long way off to getting a baby. We are going to start a remodel in Spring so we want to wait. I'm trying to prepare, I mean I have had adult yorkies but puppies are DIFFERENT! I'm not telling ya'll anything you don't know. I'm reading, learning everything I can. I'm really trying to play out different scenarios in my head. So here is the one I keep going back to.
I leave for work at 6:30am and home at 5:00pm
My husband works graveyard shifts so he gets home at 6:00am and leaves at 8:30pm
but he sleeps from 8:30am to 2:30pm. This is so he is able get our kids to and from school. It is a great schedule for us because believe it or not we actually see more of him than when he worked the dayshift. (because of his overtime and our drivetime. ) Anyways.....
I have tossed back and forth the idea of xpens vs crate vs a bathroom. they only thing i feel comfortable with is a crate because I want to know that baby is safe and secure. I love the xpen idea but we have a larger dog with free run of the house with a dog door. I would worry to much about puppy getting out. Don't get me wrong puppy would be safe with our other dog but still needs to be supervised with her at all times just like i would supervise her with my kids. even if I put x pen in a bedroom behind a closed door i would still worry all day. I don't like the bathroom idea because who knows what could happen. I just feel like a crate is the safest place!!!

So what if I got one of those huge crates of course not to huge I wouldn't want her to walk right out... LOL. but you know what I mean, one that can have a bed area , potty area, food and water. Is this acceptable for when my husband is sleeping?? Will I still have to worry about low bloodsucker if she has access to food and water for those 6 hours? What do you think??? I know a lot of you are stay at home moms or dads that get to have your sweet babies with you all day.

I wish I could! Not Fair!!! ...
What is one to do ??
