you say you "adopted" one of them. why didn't the rescue or shelter cover the cost of some if not all the spay. must reputable rescues and shelters don't send an unspayed dog to a new home. where did you get them again?

also i agree with other posters, i have an occasional humper because she's the dominant and aggressive dog and i redirect her attention onto a toy and away from her brother. but she is fixed and so is he. i wanted her to have a long healthy life free from heat cycles and misery. even though dogs aren't like human cycles i know mine are miserable and i didn't think she needed to deal with that or even worse a possible pregnancy in which she could possibly have troubles and even lose her life. i love her too much and spaying was a #1 priority when i first got her. my male was fixed before they allowed me to adopt him. that was from Westie Rescue of MO which is a reputable rescue that always spay/neuters before placing dogs.

i agree that spaying can prevent lots of female cancers in dogs as well as major life threatening things like pyometria and even sometimes a pregnancy in a female that the owner has no idea how to help the dog whelp and might lose the dog in giving birth and end up costing thousands in vet bills trying to save her.

but you seem to have your mind made up that you want dogs in heat and enjoy this fun thing to laugh at so nothing we say will probably matter much anyways. good luck with the humping and keep laughing until something happens.
