Don't let garlic scare you, dog's shouldn't have onions, and they are in the same family, but garlic isn't bad, and some vets recommend it, it has antibiotic abilities. Read about garlic’s benefits. Garlic Health Benefits The reason that garlic is on the poison list is because a dog at a whole bottle of garlic powder and it killed him, In other words, you have to keep bottles of garlic away from dogs, but the amount on foods and treats is perfectly okay. However, if even large quantities have ever killed a dog, the ingredient has to be put on the poison list.

I just think Simple Solutions can be beneficial in helping someone narrow down allergens. I mean you could feed chicken and rice, and gradually add things, but it’s not nutritionally balanced, and it might be hard to get your dog to start eating dog food again. Did you read the site I linked, Tear Staining: The Causes & Cures it has several other cause of tears. If you dog is a puppy, it could be just due to cutting his teeth.
