Thanks for the diet tips. It is scary when they don't eat especially when they are small. Gigi is hanging in there at 8 lbs but I definitely don't want her to lose weight from not eating.
I'm glad I made the decision to have the surgery. It was an extremely difficult one because my medical internist had valid concerns about going through with the surgery due to Gigi's age. Most of her patients diagnosed with liver shunts at Gigi's age are medically managed. I felt UT offered Gigi the best chance for diagnosis, treatment, survival.
The Liver Shunt Group has been truly invaluable
