Cry First post- depressed puppy :(

My 3 year old Yorkie, Coach, has been acting strange the past few days. I am a teacher and was home on Thanksgiving break and once I went back to school this behavior started. Keep in mind that I am also in grad school, teaching 3 classes, training to be department chair, and coaching 2 collegiate teams and my local university! I used to crate Coach during the day, but quit that last year (when I got the flu and was home for a week) so he has free roam of the majority of my house. I don't have any bathroom problems with him. But lately, he acts depressed (only way I can describe it). Monday morning he was fine, then when I got home from work, before going to practice, he wouldn't eat, he did go outside and potty, wouldn't eat his treat, and was super clingy. Once I came home from practice, he was fine. Tuesday morning was really clingy, and wouldn't eat treat before I left for work. When I came home before leaving to go to class, he was clingy and not as hyper as usual and when he went outside was eating grass (but never got sick). Came home from class and was fine. Wednesday, same thing. This morning, he'll hold his treat I give him in his mouth, and then come sit on my lap before I go to leave. He just stares at me. Am I crazy, or is my dog depressed because I've gone back to work after 5 days off?? And if so...what the heck am I going to do once Christmas break is over??
