My little one's ears were standing until about a month ago. He's over a year old. I had been having him groomed, but tried doing it myself for a while and because I enjoyed his hairy ears, I didn't cut them and they flopped. I took him to the groomer and told her not to shave the tops of his ears, but to cut the hair on them. His ears stood up. Now, two weeks later, they're flopping again. Do I have to have the tips shaved in order to keep his ears up? I really don't like the shaving and I don't mind a floppy eared Yorkie, but since he always had them up, I'm assuming that's how they should be for him. I feed him very good food, but lately, he's been eating soem fo the Wellness weight loss food I feed to my Australian Shepherd. My Yorkie is on the top of his weight and felt it wouldn't hurt him. Do you think it might be a dietary deficiency? Thanks for any help you can give.
