It just stinks to think a hawk could get your dog.
I'm always afraid at night a raccoon will be n our yard when they go out to potty so I flick the light on and check first every time.

She has a fenced yard, but I have never let mine go out alone. We live outside the city limits - just barely.
I'm paranoid, too, if that is what your son would call it.
