The very last place I would look for a pup would be in online classifieds. I know a lot of people do...and sometimes they get lucky, but so many pups in those ads are problems as are the people who are selling them. In my opinion, any breeder who was advertising retired pups for $50 is nothing but a greeder....no reputable breeder would do that. More than likely you would be purchasing some serious vet expenses...and probably some behavioral issues as well. OP you said you just lost two and you also said you wanted to avoid dental issues ... I would caution you about looking online because anyone selling pups for $50 more than likely has never properly vetted their pups. If you are ready to deal with these issues and possible heartbreak sooner rather than later, then I guess go ahead.
I would definitely ask anyone selling a pup for their vet's name and a copy of all medical records for that pup before I would deal with them.,....that also includes rescue. Rescue should properly vet a pup and give you all information known to them about that pup. |
