2 years ago, my 6 year vomited like this. As soon as I figured out which one of my dogs vomited I went immediately to the vet. He had Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. This is a deadly situation for dogs. There is a 24 hour window to recieve treatment. After that, the chances for survival decrease. I made it there in time. We spent 4 days in an ICU situation. He is hardy and full of P&V now. The vet told me that anytime the vomit more than three times, it is imparative to seek treatment. I am very glad your fella is better. If you are witholding food, watch out for hypoglycemia! A little honey on your finger for him to lick works well. Karo syrup is good too! |
