i have this *thing* about male dogs (even small animals!). maybe its childish but i really want an opinioun on this. my best friend's dad has a male dog. its an american cocker spaniel. if i remember correctly. being a boy it has boy parts. we all love the dog to pieces. is it normal to get uncomfortable around the boy parts??

ive had a handful of hamsters since i was little and i always got a girl because the boys have the boyparts. it just seems gross to me. my sisters and my best friends feel the same way. we all get the "ew gross" face around them. theyre cute and everything but we all just get uncomfortable once the boy parts are exposed! both of my sisters have human children and between the 2 of them there are 4 boys and 2 girls. so its not that we dont like boys just not boy animals.

i dont want to say that we treat them differently because i guess on some level we do. playing with a male dog is fine and dandy. and we still give lots of belly rubs we just try to avoid that whole area. also how can i explain this to a breeder without sounding like a twit??
