@ Gemy, thank you for all the useful information. You have been fantastic! I totally thought I had this covered until it came down to a bunch of lies. I should have just walked away but yea what's done is done and I will love this pup no matter what. Just a terrible learning experience when I thought I had did so well. It's inevitable that we will get another dog at some point and now I know better than to take someones word for it.

Also, YES! As soon as he has his first vet appointment (Friday, his poop was still soft but had form and he's eating and drinking well) we're enrolling with PetPlan.

As for Teddy well the rest of the morning went quite well. Before going to work Hubby propped up the crate so that Teddy will see me in bed. Teddy was comfortable knowing I was right there and so we both fell asleep for about 5hrs. (Teddy in the crate, me in my bed) Teddy will cry when I get up to use the restroom, which happens A LOT so I will praise him when he stays quiet but will stay in the bathroom if he cries. When he stops crying I tell him "good boy!" I think if I keep doing it, it will work. He seems like he was catching on.

I will not let him sleep in my bed, even though it's super tempting I know in the long run he will never learn to be comfortable with the kennel if I just cave. Thanks for the tips everyone! Hopefully things will be smoother tonight >< I hope
