I agree a $200 adoption fee seems appropriate. Also:

I think OP needs to establish a more inclusive comprehensive sales contract.

Perhaps a mandatory spay/neuter in it with a fiscal penalty if it's not done & proof provided by 6 months of dog's age (we are talking small dogs so weigh over age is an issue)

and a

rehoming notification or fiscal penalty if needed.

OP it's ONLY $20-40 to microchip the pups DO IT BEFORE THEY LEAVE YOU-you'll attract buyers better, rest better knowing pups are safer and will be better off if lost.

I'm getting annoyed at how few breeders are micro chipping-sorry it's becoming a serious pet peeve.
