Oh, at Target today I got an "Elf On The Shelf" doll. It is very cute.
I then bought a Blu-Ray "A Christmas Carol" from 2009 - the animated ex-3-D one, and at Kirkland's found this wonderful Lava-like Christmas Lamp. They had one turned on and it caught my eye. It is about 14" tall, shaped like a large candle, the "candle"-portion of which is made of clear glass or plastic and filled with that Lava-Lamp clear oil and zillions of gorgeous huge red Glitter pieces. The top of the "candle" has a 3" orange and red plastic flame coming up from the top and the flat top of the "candle" has white plastic shaped like wax running over the top of the "candle" and looks like it is dripping down the side of the "candle" a bit. It sets on a silver base where the light is and it is just beautiful when turned on and warmed up. When it is nice and warm, that lovely red glitter just rolls and roils and tumbles in slow motion and looks just beautiful in the room. I didn't intend to buy something this kitsch-y but it was kind of pretty and I was just dying to buy something Christmas that lit up and moved or something.
I found Tibbe some squeaky blue-and-white snowy/winter-themed toys that squeak really really easily and loudly. One is a snowman, one a snowflake and the 3rd is a tree or an ice skate - just recalled - it is an ice skate shape. He will love them in his stocking. Anything squeaky goes over big with Tibbe.
