this is the way im looking at it, shes not so much scared as she is worried that she did something wrong, i mean, after all that being "scared" shes right in my arms again after about 15 minutes that i will not play with her for being bad. and right after i spank her shes following me all over the place seemingly wanting forgiveness.

Honestly, that thinking is NOT right as if you looked into almost any dog who has been seriously mistreated and even abused they still look to please the very humans who have done it to them. So while I am not saying you have abused her I am saying that no matter what you did to her the chances are that she would still look to be accepted and to please you...THAT is just a dog.
