The only suggestion I can give is to give Harley a job. Exercise him A LOT 'cause if he's like Chizzie he's like the energizer bunny. Try several short training sessions teaching him "thinking skills". We taught our Boo the Boxer how to play the shell game. Using three small baskets I would ler her watch me hide the treat under one basket, and then shuffle them around. She had to sit in front of the baskets and put her foot on the one she thought had the treat - and she only got the treat if she was right. BUT we repeated the game several times in a session to be sure that she got enough treats to stay excited about the game.
That's just one example of really neat things you can teach him. The more you keep Harley busy the less you'll have to be the retriever. |
Ohhh that game sounds awesome! I am soooo gonna have to teach him to play that.
