We have a dual reclining couch so we can't remove the cushions. If you're reclining really far back there's a slight gap against the arm & side. Once in a while I lay back that far and anytime I'm sitting period Princess brings me a ball to throw. One day it accidentally fell in the "hole" and I had to basically climb under the foot rest reaching to the back where it was trapped to get it to get her quiet. This included moving the coffee table, etc. Then the little stinker figured it out & would deliberately drop it in the hole then freak out for it.
It
was funny at first that she found such a way to entertain herself, but then it got just plain annoying.
