First, I began to grow the hair between their eyes. It is now to the point that I can comb it down along the top of their muzzles and the other hair I can not up into a topknot.
The second thing that I changed was their food and it was totally by "accident". I had always purchased the largest bag of NB and divided it into gallon size bags that I used to feed from. One day I went to grab another bag (my last) for dinner and woops~I had NONE! It was late and I was figured I would buy a can of wet food when I ran to Target. When I had my foster here a few years ago they would occasionally get a little so I knew they would be fine. But when I went to the store I noticed a food that I had never seen before (not that I ever looked) that was Limited Ingredient and Grain Free. I figured that I would give it a try~~~Purina Beyond ONE. I'm sure there will be some that think I'm insane for feeding a "grocery store" kibble but it was amazing to say the least what I saw over the next week. I was always (several times a week)picking up throw up or they would gag after eating the NB and that stopped immediately. Within a few days Bogey's eyes were so much better. I finished the small bag and they seemed to love it, no puking and my more eye gunk. So I am sticking with it and am on my second bag. |
