Not sure if you're asking me, but I ruled them out because their policies just didn't meet our needs very well. There have also been some reports of their existing customers having rates raised by tons a month (I mean, every company has the potential to raise rates yearly, but this was like raising it $50+ monthly??).... They make you pay the office call everytime. Sounds like even for rechecks. I'd rather have my $0 copay and $50 deductible (per incident, per year) from Petplan and know exactly what I'm getting myself into. If my pup were to have something wrong and have to go back 5 times in a year for it, I only have to pay the $50 deductible one time and not an office call/exam every time (for the regular vet). There was something else that I didn't like - can't remember now though. I really liked Embrace too, but their price scared me. I'm sure it's well worth it, but I was just more comfortable with started out at a lower price. Also, at the time medications weren't covered with Embrace. You had to get a rider. That may have changed since. Not a bad thing, but that added to the expense. Only thing is Petplan doesn't pay out 100% at specialists. Gotta go with what meets your needs the best. I also liked Petplan because as long as you get dentals as recommended by your vet, extractions and such are covered.

I immediately discarded PetsBest because of their idea of what is pre-existing (have to be very careful with this). Nobody is going to cover pre-existing, but some will cover a pup for life if they get the disease while enrolled. Others consider illnesses pre-existing after the year has ended. So if pet gets illness x it will be covered, but then illness x won't be covered for all years going forward because it is now "pre-existing". There are many loopholes.

PetAssure is a discount program. You get 25% off if the vet office you go to participates. They (the vet office) gets special offers from PetAssure if vet office agrees to give you 25% off. Well, that's how it was a few years ago when my vet checked into it for me. Didn't sound reasonable.
